Inspiration // Reckless Unbound by Christy Lee Rogers
The photos are reminiscent of the paintings of old Baroque masters, who would often paint people floating around in heavenly realms.

Work // Living sculpture.
A dedication to the woman who taught me how to dance, showed me ballet and gave me the opportunity to perform in theaters and special venues. In turn, I owe ballet my vision and inspiration for a lot of the photography I do, since the essence of movement, figure and music is always present in my work.

"Mannen en schoonheid vormen een problematische combinatie. Een mooie vrouw, daar is niets vreemds aan. Vrouwen horen mooi te zijn en als ze dat niet zijn doen ze maar wat harder hun best met make-up, krul- of stijltang en corrigerend ondergoed. Zoals Simone de Beauvoir zei: “Men is niet als vrouw geboren, men wordt het.” Voor zover vrouwelijkheid een constructie is, iets wat elke dag weer gemaakt moet worden, valt er vaak nog wel wat van te maken. Voor mannen ligt dit ingewikkelder. Eigenlijk horen mannen zich niet bezig te houden met hun uiterlijk. Mannelijkheid is een zaak van karakter en dient zich te uiten in het gedrag. Als iemand tegen een man zegt “wees een vent”, dan wordt er bedoeld dat de man in kwestie meer lef moet tonen. “Wees een vrouw” wordt bij mijn weten nooit tegen vrouwen gezegd. Wel fluistert cosmeticafabrikant Revlon haar doelgroep in: “feel like a woman”. Vrouw ben je niet, dat voel je je, door de juiste hoeveelheid mascara. Man, dat ben je, al moet je dat zo nu en dan demonstreren door jezelf op de borst of iemand anders op zijn gezicht te kloppen."
